Case Study - Redundancy Support 

The xpand-pro approach:

As part of his redundancy support, Mr. A received workbooks to be completed. They consisted mainly of materials which enable a personal assessment to be made of motivations, strengths, talents, ideal circumstances and individual values.

This personal assessment was combined with the individual's CV in order to find the most promising options for new employment for this person. This ideal position was then evaluated against emotional factors, geographical preferences, leadership abilities, willingness to travel, possibilities and readiness to perform extensively and the salary to earn.

Once the ideal position was defined (job title, branch, geographical region) all elements of the resumé were discussed and elaborated upon. This consisted of an introductory letter and the classical CV, not only detailing the working experience, but also the answer to the question: what impact did Mr. A make on his duties for his former employers?

As a next step, a marketing strategy was defined. Reacting to advertised vacancies was not the plan, since there was too much competition. Moreover, only 30% of all vacancies are transparent. It made sense therefore to join the 5% of job hunters who focus on the hidden labour market where 70% of the vacancies are found.

Mr. A. implemented the defined strategies and has been surprised at the effectiveness of the approach and is now searching for a decision making process to deal with the fact that he now has several opportunities to start with different new employers.
