Case Study - Top Talent Management vs. Leadership Development

The xpand-pro approach:

One of the xpand-pro senior consultants had been working for a very large worldwide corporation in the central HR Development Office for many years. Amongst other fields of expertise, designing, deploying and monitoring Talent Management Processes was his core area of experience.

Thanks to this depth of knowledge resident in the xpand-pro consultancy network, it was just a matter of a few months to address the customer's need in three steps:

- The client's situation was assessed rapidly, looking particularly at desired outcomes and potential challenges, working closely with the client's Project Management Office and Executive Sponsors (55 in depth interviews with key stakeholders in line and regional management and HR).

Global standards were developed for talent attraction, selection, development and retention, as practical solutions with  long-lasting value. To arrive at these results, we designed and implemented proven strategies such as talent recruiting assessments, Pockets of Excellent Applicants, Rotational Leadership Programs and an off-program placement database. We worked closely with our client to ensure that the programs we created have both short- and long-term value.

- Stakeholder Management - a cohesive communication plan was designed and implemented to address concerns and forthcoming changes early on

The outcome of these measures had a strong impact at several levels of the organisation:

- Greater attractiveness as an employer
- Faster development of talent at different career stages
- High transparency when predicting and managing global talent.
