Experience: a short cut to seniority
Be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity (The Bible, Ephesians 5:15,16)
We gain experience by reflecting on actions or situations we are involved in. Just living and working at a fast pace does not necessarily lead to enhanced experience.
Experience leads to habits, frequent behaviours and working styles; this is the "HOW I DO THINGS" part of our personality.
Habits and behaviours will always be flexible and dependent on the specific circumstances, like the branches of the leaders personality. Some habits are more mature and strong than others, but overall there is a wide set of behavioural alternatives which will be chosen unconsciously by the experienced leader, to tackle the specific challenges in life or business.
Successful leaders are better prepared and more willing to take risks, based on their life and work experience. Specifically, when it comes to decision making based on limited data or time, experience is shown to be a reliable source for making fast and proper decisions.
With on-site reflection and individual coaching the experts of xpand-pro coach leaders to gather wider and deeper experiences. This comes through developing the ability to reflect on what they observe and how they behave, and identifying trends early on. The result will be a lasting transformation of how leaders do things in order to secure success.
